Onlyfans is great no one can deny that, all of your favourite girls from facebook video sensations such as Jenny Davis to your favourite pornstars such as Stella Cox to name one can be found on the platform where you can interact with them personally and see even more content from your favourite girls. It’s most certainly a good thing, however, it does have some drawbacks…. Let me explain.
As Onlyfans grows in popularity more girls and in the case of this website (IFL Porn) more pornstars are moving to the platform and quite rightly so as they are making an absolute killing on there, more than they would ever make working in the traditional porn scene where they could be paid anywhere from $300 to $2000 per scene, by comparison they can earn 10x that on a monthly basis if they get enough fans.
The problem with Onlyfans though boils down to two different issues:
Fewer Pornstars in the Industry
As more pornstars realise they can make more on Onlyfans they are releasing fewer and fewer scenes to the mainstream porn industry, we’re beginning to see new pornstars enter the industry and leave after just a few scenes (once they have gained popularity and a following) to pursue their own path (Onlyfans). Obviously we don’t begrudge the girls for doing this, heck we’d do the same if we were in their position but this is undoubtedly slowly destroying the industry as some of the biggest names in the industry and the most promising newcomers are no longer involved.
Higher Costs for us Porn Lovers
On face value subscribing to an Onlyfans channel makes sense and should in essence mean it’s cheaper to see more content from your favourite performers, for example most girls usually charge below $10 to subscribe to their channel (some obviously charge more but very rarely is this over $15). Most guys have say 3 or 4 favourites which will work out to roughly $40 per month if they follow them all, great, that’s not too much more than a Brazzers subscription let alone a Naughty America subscription too. The problem though, is that for the monthly fee you only really recieve pictures and video trailers as the girls are requesting you to ‘Tip’ them in order to be sent the full video or full photoshoot set (they also send premium content via direct messages to all subscribers).
What this means is you’re essentially paying the monthly fee for the privilege of being able to pay for their actual content which just doesn’t seem right to me, these girls are already making enough money. But I do get it, if people are willing to pay than why wouldn’t you do it like that? And of course the are some exceptions to this, some girls don’t have a large following so need to charge a bit more and there are girls that actually include everything in the monthly fee but this is quite rare and is getting even rarer as time goes on.
What can be done?
So they’re the main two issues with Onlyfans, but what can be done about it? In truth, I don’t see a solution to it until us guys stop paying the extra fee for content when you already pay a monthly subscription, no one pays extra to watch a video on Brazzers so why do it on Onlyfans?
That however isn’t going to happen, guys are just too horny… I’m a culprit here too as I’ve purchased plenty of premium videos from girls that I’m already a paying subscriber to. And Onlyfans themselves aren’t in any way inclined to make any changes to what’s going on as they take a cut of anything that’s sold on the site. So the sad reality is, this is how porn is most likely going to be in the future and it’s up to us, the porn fans to change it, which we won’t so just live with it.
